John Jaillet, CD, RSC, FSR - Master Electrician 

John is a FSR (B) Journeyman electrician who has a wide variety of electrical experience in both Residential and Commercial electrical.

John was born and raised in Welland, Ontario where he lived until he joined the Canadian Forces in May of 1979 as an Aircraft Communication Radar Systems specialist. In 1983 John was transferred from the CF-118 Hornets program to a more specialized area as a calibration specialist. John spent 9 years at the Prairie Region Calibration Laboratory in Cold Lake, Alberta where during that period John received both his electronic test equipment calibration qualification and his physical dimension qualification, one of only two members of the Canadian Forces at that time.

John was later posted to CFB Comox to the NAVCOM Section as the 2 I/C of the FLIR/DATS Lab and after a short period there he was assigned the position of 2 I/C of the NAVCOM Labs where he remained until retiring from the Canadian Forces.

After retiring from the Forces, John worked for an Avionics manufacturer and then for a compliance laboratory until the downfall of the high tech industry. He then contracted to MET Labs in San Diego filing compliance reports and training the personnel on Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Testing all from his house in Kelowna as he did not want to move to the US.

Wanting a change, as he was not ready to be office bound, John applied for a position as and electrical apprentise and was successful in obtaining a position with a local electrical company proving himself the first day. John quickly advanced in the company to become a crew chief even before he was a Journeyman.

John has a wide variety of electrical knowledge and experience Residential electrical including home theatre planning and installation, whole home audio, telephone, satellite/cablevision wiring and equipment installation, computer network wiring, the short version pretty well any kind of residential and commercial wiring and equipment installation except for security alarms. 

On the commercial side of the house, John has experience with door intercom systems, fire alarms systems installations and commissioning, various malls store fronts from clothing stores, sport stores, and electronics stores, John worked on the electrical at various Tim Horton's throughout BC including Golden, Sicamouse, Lake Country, West Kelowna, just to name a few. John also worked and ran the electrical upgrade for the pilot project of combining the Pennington's and sister store Addition Elle in the Columbia Square Pennigtons in Kamloops.

John really enjoys working on electrical and the various challenges it presents. He enjoys working with people and in particular their joy and the smiles on their faces when their electrical issues are solved.
